Could a tiny beetle be stronger than a huge elephant? Could a rhino win against a T.
Once again, Matthew was very good at this too. With the car back from paint, Cameron taught his son how to wet sand and polish. He also installed the springs and all the ball joints and bushings in the A-arms and trailing arms. The frame was also detailed and sprayed in primer and then hot rod black by Matthew. Matthew also welded the quarter panels on and the outer wheel houses, and he also welded patches into the bottoms of the original fenders. Taught how to weld by Dad, Matthew welded up all the small holes from the small block trim and small block emblems. Matthew was taught everything he knows about bodywork from Cameron and he was amazingly quick to pick up the skills it took Cameron a considerable time to learn. After media blasting the frame was skim coated to look better cosmetically. The frame was quite solid but had the usual rust pitting. Luckily it came with one NOS quarter panel and an NOS outer wheel house. All the fasteners were quite rusty and it was very challenging. A special thanks to Roberto Testani who helped with providing storage in his garage.Īt first glance the car looked like an easy candidate for restoration, and they tried to unbolt the fenders to take the car apart. Randy allowed Matthew to come in after hours and blast his frame, rear end and the chassis on the rotisserie as well as all the other small parts in the cabinet. Then there was Randy Hillier from B & W Metal Cleaning who does Cameron’s media blasting. Al Stoltz went through the M20 Muncie transmission and rebuilt what was necessary at a budget price to help my son out. Parts were donated by Uncle Gary and Richard of Hot Rods and Classics in Chilliwack. It also took extra time as he had to lay out the hood stripes and paint the black on the tailgate. He donated a free paint job, including the disassembly, removing the fenders, doors, hood and tailgate to paint all the pieces individually and also spray all the jams. Upon hearing of Matthew’s project, the first person to step up was Travis Brown from Sharp Touch Restorations. This is where Cameron’s strong ties to the suppliers and tradesmen in the auto restoration businesses really paid off. Matthew was quick to learn all the tricks Dad could show him. Borrowing uncle Gary’s rotisserie meant Matthew could work on his car while Dad still worked on his own projects. For looks, a vinyl top and non-functioning cowl induction hood were added.įor the last 15 years, Cameron has been doing frame-off rotisserie nut-and-bolt restorations to either 1970 Chevelle 454 cars or 1969 COPO 427 Chevelles. An SS dashboard was used instead of the small block’s “Sweep”-style dashboard. All the small-block chrome was deleted, and the SS badging was added. Matthew decided to keep the interior black, and chose Cranberry Red (paint code 75) with black SS stripes. The interior code was 755 for the black bench seats. with a Muncie M20 four-speed transmission and a 3:31 12-bolt rear end. The El Camino started as a “Fathom Blue” 300-hp 350 cu. Cameron was concerned with Matthew putting too much money into a small-block El Camino, and the decision was made to make a recreation or clone of a SS 454 El Camino. In the bed of the El Camino was a complete big block dual exhaust set-up. He also threw in a pile of parts he had for the project as he was happy to see his nephew get into the restoration game. Uncle Gary came through in spades, offering his unrestored bench seat small-block four-speed El Camino for what he had into it, $3,500. Deciding which car to buy was a challenge, as you don’t want to throw tons of time and money at a car that has limited appeal, so Matthew’s budget of $4,000 was a challenge. Curiously, Cameron’s true love is the first-gen Monte Carlos, and he has personally had 29 of them. This El Camino was right up Cameron’s alley as he had personally had many LS6 Chevelles as well as three COPO 427 Chevelles. For every hour Matthew worked on the car, Cameron would work an hour as well. Gary bought this car for himself but was too busy with customers’ cars to build it, and Cameron had previously restored a GM of Canada documented 1970 LS6 454 M22 El Camino.īefore Cameron’s son Matthew was dabbling in JDM tuner cars, as a 14 year-old it was decided they should build a project car together. Cameron and Gary Grant have made names for themselves as master restoration experts of primarily Chevelles for Cameron, and Camaros and Impalas for Gary. This 1970 El Camino is certainly a family affair and a tribute to the value of great customer relations. Medium circle – this is for the white of the monster’s eye.Large circle – monster head, you need 2 of these circles in the same color for one monster. So let’s get down to making them, shall we?įirst, you’ll want to print the patterns. Kids can use whatever color cardstock they want and can mix and match the mouths too. Honestly, it’s a total coincidence that the monster I chose for the stitched mouth just happened to be green like Frankie! The stitched mouth is reminiscent of the Frankenstein monster. The squared off toothy mouth is a favorite of mine that you’ll see in many of my monster crafts on this blog.Īnd of course, there’s the stitched mouth, another one you can use the black marker for. You can use a marker to draw on mouths instead of using the patterns too! One has a red background, the other I left blank in case kids want to color the inside of the mouth a different color. I’ve drawn patterns for you, you can print them in the supply list below. If not, a strategically placed desk fan does the job! If you have a ceiling fan, that should create enough breeze to keep your hanging monsters going. Watch the video above to see the monsters in action! I used a small fan to keep them going. Cardstock is sturdier, doesn’t tear easily as construction paper does, and the colors are much more vibrant! You could use construction paper for these, but I prefer cardstock. Each child can make one, you can hang them during your party and then let them take their paper monster home when they leave. Whether it’s for Halloween or a monster themed birthday party, these twirling paper monsters are super cute and sure to be a big hit with the kids! This can even be a fun make and take party craft for kids. I have the ring, the necklace, and a set of earrings. I have a set of mystic blue topazes I have purchased over the years. I also had a weird experience that is worth retelling. If you get to Wisconsin, Milwaukee or Madison, even drive up from Chicago, it’s worth it, trust me! I can’t rave enough about this experience, the actors were fabulous, very, very talented and I was in awe as I realized the enormity of what they were all accomplishing. It went on and on and had the cutest things! Everything from glassware to knick knacks, and other things that would make great gifts. I myself had a steak and it was tender, juicy, and delicious.īefore and after the dinner, as we waited for the show to start, they had endless (and I do mean endless) shopping available along the side of their building. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and even she had too much to eat because of their fantastic offerings. We read on their website that some people didn’t like the food, but let me tell you, it was a five-course meal before the play itself and definitely a good meal for anyone. It really is worth the drive and effort to go see a show there. They’ve expanded it four times from what I read on their website. Apparently the Fireside has been a family-owned enterprise since 1964. Madison yes, Milwaukee definitely, Chicago even, but Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin? Who would have thought. I was enthralled, shocked really, that a play of this magnitude would be here, in Wisconsin and in the middle of nowhere. We could clearly see the stage from our seats behind everyone else, my only complaint, our seats were set in a way that didn’t allow our feet to touch the ground and that hurts after a long while of sitting, especially at my age! Still, the actors were spell-binding and we were fortunate enough to watch their excellent rendition of Miracle on 34th Street. Our seats weren’t prime but we were able to see the stage without any problem and it was really worth the admission price (it was expensive, but I didn’t mind). I finally tried a last minute technique that worked, got us two tickets, and we went. You wouldn’t think something like this would be packed, but it was and I had a HARD time getting tickets. This one, was on a square and the actors going up and down the aisles to appear on stage, or to come up from the bottom of the stage. Let me tell you, I was wrong, way wrong.įirst, a traditional play is up on a stage and the audience out in the theater. So, it was with a bit of derision, I thought we had wasted our time coming this far out into the sticks to see this play. I grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and never made it to this part of the state. Who would have thought that a theater (my spelling, not theirs), in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, would hold Broadway plays? I really didn’t expect it. We drove the 50 or so miles from Milwaukee, visited my niece who lives out in that area, and then went on to the theatre, through back roads, and on into the never-never. The building itself looks odd from the outside, a hodge-podge of building in various stages, or, so it appeared. Let me tell you, this experience was certainly unique. As neither of us had ever been, I called my girlfriend up and formally asked her out on a ‘date’ for this event. I looked up theaters (or theatres) and while the Pabst was right there, I wanted something even more unique and found a dinner-theater. We were already staying in an absolutely beautiful hotel that we had stayed in a couple of times before ( The Pfister) and I wanted something unique to do that we normally do not do, besides sight-seeing. Note: There is no evening show on Thanksgiving, November 23rd and no Sunday midday shows on April 9, May 28, July 16, September 3, and October 29.This last weekend I was looking for somewhere special to take my girlfriend for our weekend away in Milwaukee. ***Friday evening shows have been added for July 14, September 1, October 27, and December 1, 8, 15, and 22. **Wednesday matinees and evening shows have been added on December 6, 13, and 20. * Tuesday matinees have been added on November 21 and December 19. All shows, dates, times, prices, and menus are subject to change. There will be a $35.00 fee assessed for all returned checks. Tickets are subject to 5.5% sales tax and a $6.00 facility charge per ticket. Dinner Theatre Packages do not include sales tax, soda, bar drinks, or gratuity. I personally play the combo variant because the wins are more decisive and I can still drop Titania on turn 1 several ways and get an additional one or two tokens all one the first turn.īut all of that said, idk if the two sorceries would be strictly more beneficial 100% of the time even for these decks. But some people have built the deck in a completely different way that is less combo focused and more aggressive to essentially guarantee a rapid Titania with a couple of bodies very early to knock out Ad Naus and wall T&T and Najeela early. The only reason I haven't played either card in Titania is because I've already cut most of the rocks from the deck because they're not as powerful as additional land drops and they don't synergize well with the deck, so I don't have much space available for land ramp spells when I primarily focus on playing additional lands instead. I haven't yet given Nature's Lore or Three Visits a chance in Windgrace or Titania, but they're both relatively solid in Omnath because they come in untapped and either net a card or propel the boardstate to a point where future drops net cards. Each of these decks can run Collector Ouphe and Null Rod with no loss, and can even run Glacial Chasm or effects like it for incredible value. Locus of the Roil is an amazing Food Chain and Lotus Breach commander that utilizes landfall in a late game to net card advantage, Titania is a sweet Combo deck that is difficult to interact with because the combo pieces are mostly lands, and Lord Windgrace is just kind of brutal. People have mentioned Tatyova and Gitrog already, but I think Lord Windgrace, Titania, and Omnath (Locus of the Roil) all have possible seats at the table even if they're not listed in the decklist database. If your meta/league has custom rules or bans we ask that you move your requests to /r/EDH instead. Please use the Magic Judges chat to ask about rules and card interactions. List any experience (if any) you've had with the deck.īe respectful of all suggestions and criticisms. Include the deck's main goal and how it gets there. Include commanders, strategies, wincons, or if you are going into a blind meta. If you cannot afford a bunch of cards all at once feel free to ask which suggestions you should prioritize getting first.
In rare cases, a child might develop a rash a few days after a fever, in reaction to a medication. If fever occurs alongside a drug rash, it often has a separate cause - for example, an underlying infection. Sometimes, a rash warns of a drug reaction.
